Working at Natex

At Natex we are a specialized team that is always eager to challenge the status quo and continue to develop the supercritical CO2 technology. This is done in unique projects from various industries and all over the world where we turn the ideas of our customers into reality.

This is done in the following technical departments, which are closely cooperating with each other to achieve these tasks at hand and are supported for a strong quality management and commercial department.

R&D

Our R&D team is technically evaluating the ideas from customers and are running the first trials. This is done on our own R&D and Pilot scale plants to generate data for the further steps of the execution of the project. The first tests are always closely coordinated with the clients to make sure that the know-how about the individual product is considered from the first moment. Our team is partially trained in chemistry & process engineering but most importantly has extensive hands on experience in operating our plants in a way that is generating the data that we need and achieves the product quality that our customers are looking for.

Process Engineering

The process engineering department is proving the foundation of the further realization of each plant project and are the ones that fill it with life. They know about the possibilities of CO2 as a process fluid and how it can be operated at each individual scale. This team is creating the essential P&I diagrams and is also sizing the whole equipment like heat exchangers, separators, safety valves and more. Most of them studied process engineering or chemistry and have a specialization in CO2 processes.

Project Management / Project Realization

The people from project realization are the ones that make sure that each project comes to reality. They coordinate the different teams within Natex, execute some intermediate planning themselves and coordinate external partners and customers. This team consists of project managers and project technicians which make the best out of every project. They typically have a background in mechanical engineering or piping design and are also strong in coordinating people at Natex and at site, to mechanically install the equipment.

Automation

Our automation team takes care of the electrical parts within the plants. They make sure that the different sensors, pumps and other equipment are feasible for the specific application and ensure that everything is safe according to the most stringent requirements from a notified body. They are working with the best control systems available and are flexible enough to implement customer requirements of various types. They play a major role at site when an installation starts its operational work and where they experience the success of their effort firsthand.

Mechanical engineering

The team of mechanical engineering is focused around the pressure vessels, which are the core equipment and the most capital intensive part of a high pressure CO2 extraction plant. They make sure the equipment is designed according to the required standard, design the quick acting closures which are essential for the operation and make sure that the fabrication quality fulfills our high standards. They are Mechanical Engineers with know-how around pressure vessels and welding.
